My ambition and belief in my ability is what drives me. This drive has come from my education and is something that I am keen to transfer to a new challenging work environment. Education is not something that ends when a degree finish. I hope start a career which will allow me to extend my skill set through experience and transform myself from a young designer to a practicing professional. I have been in contact with a wide range of public and professional people throughout my educational and work career, improve my communication skills to a high standard. Working, as a team is something I am involved with daily, I understand the Positives and Negatives that come from teamwork, as well as the positive and negatives of working individually. I am able to use my initiative and skill as part of a group or as an individual. Hard work is something that I am used to and want from my future employment to form a positive and challenging career.
Exhibition Experience

My product sold better than predicted, taking two months to complete orders from this show. Whilst exhibiting as part of this design collective I gained a few roles with in it. I was involved with the sourcing sponsorship, publicity for our collective, web design, the stand construction and the stand design.

I started as a general porter but after a few months I was able to receive training, which allowed me to complete additional roles with more responsibilities such as organising and over seeing the completion of all porters tasks completed in an accident an emergency department. Long working days is something that I have become accustom with throughout my working career this job was no different with shifts varying from 3 hours – 24 hours (split shift).

Handling and being responsible with money and good’s is something that I learnt with this job. I was the able to run a successful market stall for over a year, before education commitments made this job impracticable.
Education
My Education has been design based; this is something that I have developed a real passion for. The courses that I have completed throughout my education have been courses that I believe would help me in learn transferable skills in other areas not just art and design. I have been able to take aspects of my education and apply them to life situations. I have harnessed skills and thought processes that I use on a daily basis whilst studying and allowed them to influence my work and social life. During this degree I focused on learning as many skills and techniques as possible, I did this by varying my approach and completion of each project in a different way when ever possible.
